Others have asked:

Why can’t I just let you know the sizes I wear rather than coming in for a fitting?
Formalwear often fits differently from your other clothing, and there are further variations in fit by style of tuxedo, shirt, and vest. To assure the best appearance, it’s necessary to have a professional measure you for your tux and accessories. Sacino’s certified formalwear professionals pride themselves on providing a perfect fit for every person and every style.

Some of the people in my wedding party live out of town? How can I be sure they get properly fitted in the right styles?
Regardless of the location, most formalwear dealers will provide complimentary measurements. Be sure to remind the men who will be fitted outside of Sacino’s locations to download the Measurement Form from this site and take it to their local dealer.

How can I determine whether I need to rent or buy a tuxedo?
If you find that you attend formal occasions at least two or three times a year, you may want to purchase your own tuxedo. Sacino’s offers a wide variety of styles to flatter every body type.

How long before my wedding do the groom and groomsmen have to be fitted?
To avoid a last minute rush just before the wedding, the men in your party should be fitted at least a month prior to the event.

How long before my wedding should the tuxes be picked up? How long after the event do we have to return them?
All tuxedos will be available for pickup two days before your wedding. During this Final Fitting, we’ll ask each groomsmen to try everything on to be sure of a perfect fit. You can return the tuxes to any Sacino’s location on the day after the wedding. One gentleman can return multiple tuxedos on behalf of others who have departed.

What is the difference between “Black Tie”, “White Tie” and “Black Tie Preferred” on an invitation?
If the invitation describes the event as “Black Tie”, tuxedos are mandatory. Black tie is defined as a tuxedo and the proper accessories (vest, tie, etc.) of your choice.”Black Tie Preferred” means that tuxedos are encouraged, but not required. Most guest will honor this request either with a traditional tuxedo or a white/ivory dinner jacket.
White tie events are extremely formal: Appropriate attire includes black tails with black trousers, white pique wing collar shirt, white pique vest and bow tie, pearl jewelry, formal shoes, and white gloves. Consider these accessory options to express individuality: silk scarf, top hat, or cane.

We’re going on our first cruise. Will I need a tuxedo?
Depending on the formality of the cruise ship, there may be one or several evenings where formalwear is appropriate. Any black tuxedo, excluding tails, would be appropriate attire. White or ivory dinner jackets also make an excellent cruise option, especially for a cruise with two formal dinners.
